Yukio “Yuki” Maeno, 81, of Hilo died Nov. 6, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kapoho, he retired as support services manager with the County Clerk’s Office, was a member of the Upper Kaumana Kumiai and former pitcher for the Asahi Baseball Club.

Roy “Dickie” John Fontes, 74, of Hilo died Nov. 12, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born on May 14, 1941, in Hilo, he was an employee of Orchid Isle Ford in Hilo, member of the Hawaii Army National Guard and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Etta Kinue “Kay” Hashimoto, 84, of Makakilo, Oahu, formerly of Mountain View, died Nov. 2, 2015, on Oahu. Born on the Big Island, she was a homemaker, cook and member of the Makakilo Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and formally of the Mountain View Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Steven Warren
Steven J. Warren, 68, of Kealakekua died Nov. 16, 2015, at home. Born May 6, 1947, in Torrance, Calif., he was the former manager of the “Beach Boy” ranch in South Kona, worked at Safeway, Kona Inn Restaurant and DSS Hawaii, was a member of Keauhou and Kai Opua canoe clubs and was a collegiate wrestler inducted into the El Camino Hall of Fame in 2007.
